LUX Xenon Conversion Kits utilize the world’s first patented glare-free xenon technology. With the help of a remote control and a unique mechanism integrated into the base of the bulb, the user is able to significantly reduce glare by focusing the light into a more compact beam with reduced glare on both the outer ends as well as the center portion of the light. This translates into more light where you need it and less where you don’t. The introduction of this product hopes to bridge the gap between aftermarket xenon conversion kits and projector retrofits, showing the general public and extreme car enthusiasts that you can have the performance and functionality of projectors without sacrificing the affordability and convenience of an aftermarket conversion kit.

Converting your vehicle’s halogen headlamps to xenon lighting is now safer and more effective than ever with a LUX system. Unlike traditional plug and play kits, the xenon bulb in our LUX Xenon Conversion Kit sit atop a base that houses a unique mechanism, allowing the bulb to move forward and backward at the push of a button. The remote control, included with the purchase of any complete LUX kit or pair of LUX bulbs, is the most essential tool in adjusting the lighting. The way our LUX system works is simple and undeniably convenient. In order for the product to be a success, we had to make sure that the bulb could be adjusted while installed in the headlamps. Manual adjustment was not heavily considered because not only was it difficult to do at the time, the results from manually adjusting the lighting just did not compare to the minute adjustments that could be made electronically. Adjusting via remote control was the only option that made sense and ultimately provided the best results. With the help of a remote control, adjustments could be made from the driver’s seat; this is extremely beneficial and ultimately necessary because it offers the best vantage point and makes sure that the beam pattern looks correct for the most important person in the vehicle, the driver. On top of that, the use of a remote control is convenient enough so that only one person is needed to perform the adjustment. The ultimate advantage of LUX products is the fact that you only have to adjust it once per install. Once the kit has been wired up and the halogen bulbs replaced with LUX bulbs, adjusting the beam pattern the first time is enough to last the life of the vehicle.

The moving parts inside the base of the bulb have undergone numerous trials during its development. Coupled with top-quality components made to stand the test of time, the mechanism in the base of the bulb has been confirmed to be almost flawless in quality, leaving the user with supreme confidence that the moving parts of this kit are bulletproof. Rest assured, this is one xenon product that has been developed and engineered with everything in mind right from the start.

For those who already have an HID kit in their vehicle and simply wish to upgrade to a glare-free solution, a pair of LUX xenon bulbs and its included wiring harness is all that is needed to make the switch. Do not buy a complete kit unless you also want a pair of additional ballasts.

However, for those who are interested in making LUX their first HID kit, all complete LUX Xenon Conversion Kits come with a pair of high-end xenon ballasts. Featuring recently-developed 64-bit Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, LUX ballasts are capable of achieving 88% efficiency, the only xenon ballast capable of such a statistic. A simple comparison of LUX ballasts with other generic ballasts showcase our superior quality: efficient output power for longer bulb life and the integration of zero-voltage switch starting to extend ballast life and dramatically reduce ballast heat by 4.6°C (when compared to generic ballasts).

  • PPS is one of the most important high temperature polymers because it exhibits a number of desirable properties. These properties include resistance to heat, acids and alkalies, and to mildew, to bleaches, aging, sunlight, and abrasion. It absorbs only small amounts of solvents and resists dyeing.
  • LUX xenon bulbs can produce up to 3400 lumen at 4300K, approximately 3 times the lumen output found in standard halogen bulbs. They also last approximately 2000 hours, which is around 3 times the life of a standard halogen bulb.
  • LUX ballasts come with zero-voltage switch starting, a technology found on all OEM ballast manufacturers, such as Philips and Osram.

Innovative product at a great price February 26, 2010

I own a 2005 Subaru WRX and I've always been interested in HIDs for their light output and efficiency.  However, owning a car with reflectors, I knew I would blind other drivers and call too much attention.  And then there was Lux...the technology to fix the deficiencies in reflectors?  Hard to believe, but I was too tired of not knowing if my lights were on or not after a rain.  After, a surprisingly simple install, I was utterly surprised at the real ability to focus the stream of light!  Finally my woes of poor lighting were over, and without the unnecessary oversplash of light. One problem I had was that an adapter was missing a notch and did not fit properly.  I notified support and was sent a new pair promptly.  Other than that I think it's a great product.  Thank you, George Wu, for introducing this innovation!
